The first ever experiential study on human placentophagia (placenta consumption) was published February 20th, 2013 in the Ecology, Food and Nutritional Journal. The study was completed by two University of Las Vegas researchers and co-authored by Placenta Benefits founder, Jodi Selander.

What was the overall results of the study? 96 percent of the women said they had a “positive” or “very positive” experience consuming their placenta, and 98 percent said they would do it again.
